Innovationsprozesse können in einzelnen Unternehmen geöffnet werden (Open Innovation). Darüber hinaus kann es auch sinnvoll sein, Open Innovation für ganze Branchen zu nutzen. Anhand der Open Innovation Plattform für die Kunststoffbranche wird deutlich, welche Vorteile dadurch enstehen können: “In the Open Innovation concept the company open its boundaries, widening the scenario of new technological solutions coming from outside and accepting ideas of new products/applications suggested by external inputs.
